Fees for attorney services' depends on the type and nature of
the work being done. There are Flat Rate fees, Time Charge fees,
Written Fee Agreements, and Contingent Fees.
| Flat Rate Fees |
Flat Rate fees are usually charged on bankruptcy,
uncontested divorce, adoptions, name changes, guardianships,
and some contested divorces. Please contact our office for
a quote for your particular case. Payment plans can be established
for certain cases in this category. |
| Time Charge Fees |
Time Charge fees are based on an hourly rate
and the type of case. My hourly fee is $110.00 per hour. |
| Contingent Fees |
Contingent fees are those I agree to accept
for a percentage of any recovery made for the client and to
charge no fee unless we make a recovery. I do not get paid
until the client has made a recovery. The amount of the percentage
is determined by the difficulty of the case, the expertise
required and the effort and amount of time anticipated in
handling the case. Contingent fees may not exceed 50% by law
and in most cases are usually 25% or 33%. On contingent fee
cases the client may be responsible for court costs, and other
miscellaneous cost associated with the case. |
| Written Fee Agreements |
In all cases a Written Fee Agreement is discussed
and entered into at the first conference and the client is
given a copy of the agreement. |
